CookiePal Pro users can customise banner languages for their website visitors. This guide addresses frequently asked questions about multilingual support, including language setup, default settings, and troubleshooting.
What is the Multi-Language Feature?
Our Multi-Language feature ensures your cookie banner speaks directly to your audience, no matter where they're from. It supports multiple languages, making compliance smooth and user-friendly. This feature is available with the Starter Plan and above.
Which Languages Are Supported?
Currently, CookiePal supports the following languages:
- German (de-DE)
- English (en-GB)
- Spanish (es-ES)
- French (fr-FR)
- Italian (it-IT)
- Dutch (nl-NL)
- Portuguese (pt-PT)

Can I Customise the Banner Text in Different Languages?
Yes, you can! Customise the text of your cookie banner in multiple languages on the Content tab of the Customisation page of the CookiePal app or dashboard. You will then be able to select which languages you would like to edit and configure the text below. With that, you can tailor the messaging to fit your brand while keeping it clear and compliant.
How Does CookiePal Determine the Language to Display?
CookiePal automatically detects the user’s browser language and displays the cookie banner in the matching language according to your configuration. If no match is found, it defaults to the language setup on your dashboard.
What Happens if My Language Isn’t Supported?
If your required language isn’t supported yet, the banner will default to English (en-GB). You can contact our team to suggest new languages for future updates.
How Do I Enable Multi-Language Support?
Multi-language support is included in the Starter Plan and higher. Simply navigate to the Customisation page on your dashboard and ensure the feature is activated. From there, you can review or edit translations.
Do I Need Technical Expertise to Use This Feature?
Not at all! Our dashboard makes it simple to customise and enable multi-language support without any technical skills. It’s designed to be intuitive for everyone.
Can I Add Languages Outside the Supported List?
At this time, CookiePal supports the languages listed above. Custom translations outside of these may require additional steps. Contact our support team for guidance.
